What is Remind?
Remind is an excellent way to stay in contact with students and parents throughout the school year.
Remind is set up as a text message system that allows messages to be sent to phone numbers via an online website, which allows educators to keep their personal cell phones private.
To sign up for a Remind account, simply visit the website Remind.com and create an account, sign in as teacher, and begin to create classes.
Add students to your classes via emails, which will provide the students with a code to text to remind.com which then signs them into the classroom created.
It's that easy!

Reflection
I use Remind in my own classrooms to keep students up to date with homework assignments. Remind has a feature where I can schedule texts to be sent out a head of time, which allows me to plug in the homework assignments at the beginning of the year and schedule when the reminder will be sent out.
Additionally, Remind supports me in my pedagogy by giving me a professional and safe outlet to reach out to students and communicate important pieces of information or reminders in a professional and monitored setting.
Lastly, Remind relates to the ISTE NET Standards because my use of Remind as a form of communication proves my use and knowledge of technology in the classroom for the betterment of my students and classroom procedures.
